Battlefield Bad Company 2 brings to life a destructive playground for gamers to enjoy online with up 24 players
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is an incredible game that learns from its predecessors. The series takes it to the next level with its destructible terrains and the ability to mount different types of vehicles. There is not much competition when it comes to a large scale multiplayer with actual destroyable environments. This is not a small pipe line busting open or a wall being cracked. The game brings bad ass destruction with an environment that transforms into a destroyed level by the end of a match.
The single player continues where the original Battlefield Bad Company left off. It’s hard to not get engaged into the single player as the game is well put together and the levels are amazingly fun. The story on the other hand is good enough to play through, but not amazing. The single player campaign is straight forward and there is not much room to wonder off as you interact with the game.
The online multiplayer is why most gamers decide to play this game in the first place. Online play allows for a max of 24 players. Bad Company 2 does not disappoint and truly shines in its own right with its online experience. Game play feels like a mix of a tactical shooter blended into a fast pace run and gun experience. There are some awesome moments to experience when the environment around you is slowing becoming extinct. There is a great deal of satisfaction to watch a sniper in a building being blown to hell by a tank and watching as his cover slowly disappears. The maps are pretty big and to get from one side of a map to the other feels just right.
What Bad Company 2 does correct is it provides an entertaining environment with tactical systems that can make for some very engaging game play. The game gives players the ability to drive tanks, helicopters, flying machine contraptions, and four wheelers. Players can mount helicopters and tanks in groups. This makes taking down a vehicle a million times harder when there is an actually team inside correlating the action.
Multiplayer is set up at the start with 4 different squads on each team and the ability to spawn upon any squad members after dieing. Players have the choice to play as four different classes, which are Engineer, Recon, Assault, and Medic. Each class starts you off with two guns and each can be leveled to receive weapon upgrades. Bad Company 2 online features a XP system of sorts. You can level weapons, vehicles, and of course your own character.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 brings to life a destructive playground for gamers to enjoy online. While the single player is engaging, multiplayer is still where all the fun is at in the Battlefield series. This game is worth the price and if you enjoy first person shooters this game is worth the time and money.
