Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most classic role playing games ever made to date. It stole the hearts of millions of fans back in 1997 and has had gamers waiting in the dark for over a decade for a freaking remake. Over the years, I have found myself asking “why don’t they just remake what a million plus fans are asking for,” Final Fantasy 7 remake equates into a cash cow of money or maybe I was wrong.

Finally, I have received the answer that I did not want to hear from a member of the Final Fantasy family.Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Final Fantasy XIII has recently said in an interview that a Final Fantasy 7 remake is next to impossible or unrealistic. He said that Final Fantasy XIII has been in production for well over 3 years and to develop any game with that type of detail is very difficult or even harder for a remake.

It sure looks like every month fans of Final Fantasy 7 are getting shut down for any notion of a remake. In Japan, Famitsu magazine interviewed Tetsuya Nomura, the gentleman who designed the characters of Final Fantasy 7 and was quoted saying that there are still no plans for a Final Fantasy 7 remake. He does hope that Cloud will bounce around making guest appearances like he has done in the past.

In conclusion, a Final Fantasy 7 remake sounds like every nerd’s wet dream if they grew up playing games in the late 90’s. To Square Enix, it obviously must be some sort of financial suicide to not release a game that millions of fans have been begging for the last 10 years. Three to six years to make a remake of a game that was made in 1997, there sounds something a bit fishy in the materia. Look forward to E3 for a bunch of unanswered questions about Final Fantasy 7 remake that might just never happen.
