iPad- The Next Generation of Web Browsing



Apple has finally announced its newest device branded as the iPad, which has been the industries worst kept secret for the last few months.

The iPad is basically an iPhone that is blown up into a larger size.The iPad is a portable web browser with added functionality.The main reason to buy an iPad would be to surf the net like no other device on the market because of its huge screen compared to the iPhone and multi-touch functionality.The iPad features a finger print resistant 9.7 inch LED back lit screen with a resolution of 1024x768. The device will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G data connection for surfing the net. The iPad will have an accelerometer so that the screen can turn side ways just like the iPhone. The phenomenal half-inch thick device can be held in one hand and is ultra thin.

The device will be released with different model types,according to GB storage. The iPad will start at $499 and go up to $829, depending on how much memory and if its Wi-Fi capable.The iPad will be tied into several different AT&T data plans for internet service.Steve Jobs said “The iPad will deliver a better web browser than any laptop on the market.” The ability to touch the screen and browse the web adds to the experience of the internet than just using a regular mouse and keyboard. With this said, lets see if the iPad can live up to the hype of the next generation of web browsers or will it just be a bigger iPhone with out the ability to make phone calls.

The iPad will give user access to the all of the online apple stores for music and applications. Video games that can be played on the iPhone will also work for the iPad.
